Recap: Wings 4, Coyotes 2

The Red Wings continued their dominance with a 4-2 victory over the Phoenix Coyotes. Detroit has now won four straight and six in the last seven games. Once again, their secondary scoring picked it up with three of the four goals.

Mikael Samuelsson got the Wings on the board first. Phoenix followed that up with two goals in the second period on even strength, including a penalty shot. Later in the second period, defenseman Brian Rafalski tied it up at two apiece.

Pavel Datsyuk scored his 15th goal of the season and the game winning goal on a feed from Nicklas Kronwall. He also notched two assists in last night's win.

"(Datsyuk) is playing at another level," said Wings coach Mike Babcock. "He usually plays against the opposition's best line, and right now, "he's outplaying them."

Kris Draper added an empty netter to seal the game for Detroit. Nicklas Lidstrom earned two assists and now has at least one point in his last seven of eight games.

They went 3-0-0 on their three game road trip over a four day span.
