[Game Thread] Wings vs. Oilers

Detroit (11-2-3) returns home after sweeping in their series in the Sunshine state to face off against the Edmonton Oilers (8-7-2) at 7:30pm.

Dan Cleary is out for 2-3 weeks with an eye infection that resulted in him missing the past three games. He has not been able to practice over the past week or do any kind of conditioning. Cleary has been able to see out of his eye, but it's blurry.

“He’s not ready to go,” Mike Babcock said after Sunday’s practice. “They’re working with his eye. I guess it’s some sort of scratch. What they did for him originally kind of worked in the wrong way, so it’s taking more time than they expected.”

Ty Conklin will get a second straight start tonight, his first two consecutive starts with Detroit as the number two goaltender. His start comes just two days after the birth of his son Nash.

I will be at the game so I will be unable to leave comments during the game, but please feel free to leave your thoughts as the game goes on!
