[Game Thread] Wings vs. Bruins

After defeating the Blue Jackets last night 5-3, the Wings head to Boston to face off against the Bruins who have had a strong start to the season. This should certainly be a good game, but a little disappointing that the Wings have less than 24 hours between games.

Darren McCarty remains out with a sore groin so here is the lineup:

Cleary-Datsyuk-Hossa
Franzen-Zetterberg-Samuelsson
Kopecky-Filppula-Hudler
Meech-Draper-Maltby

Lidstrom-Rafalski
Kronwall-Stuart
Lebda-Lilja

The game starts at 7pm and will be shown on FSN Detroit. Go Wings!

Man.

I knew it would be a challenging game since we played not even 24 hours ago and Boston is a good team. But I didn’t think it would be 2-0 in the first!

Franzen scores!

With less than four minutes less in the second, Johan Franzen scores to get the Wings on the board. Henrik Zetterberg and Jiri Hudler assisted on the goal.

Huds actually scored...

NHL.com just updated their game summary stating that Jiri Hudler scored and now Hank and Mikael Samuelsson were given the assists.
