[Game Thread] Wings vs. Blackhawks

For the first time this year, the Chicago Blackhawks (11-6-6) come to the Joe to take on the Detroit Red Wings (17-4-4). The only outing between these two teams this season ended in a 6-5 shootout win at the United Center.

Ty Conklin will get the start in net for Detroit. Kirk Maltby is out with a bone bruise from blocking a shot with his ankle in Thursday night's win. Tomas Holmstrom, who missed eight games from back spasms, will be in tonight.

While I will be at the game, please feel free to leave your thoughts on the action during what should be an exciting and close game. I will be sure to respond to your comments as soon as I return home!

The game starts at 7pm and will be shown on FS Detroit. Go Wings!

Exciting!

As exciting as it was to have Homer back, he unfortunately did not get on the board despite four goals in the goal. But give him another game or two and he should be good!
