You know the Red Wings store on Big Beaver west of John R? Near the Troy Sports Center? The place that lets you buy tickets for any Olympia Entertainment venue at face value? Right: "Hockeytown Authentics."
The sign outside the building has changed. It now has a Red Wings logo and a Tigers logo, and the word "Authentics" in script.
And that's it.

I’ve been there once. I remember the TV ads where Drapes would come out of the jersey racks or something to tell customers that the stuff they were buying was authentic. The good old days. But then again, were champs so these days are the good old days, I guess.

I’m not sure I get it. So are you saying they realized that the term Hockeytown was never anything more than a marketing ploy and didn’t really represent Detroit?
