[Game Thread] Wings vs. Stars

For the second time in less than a week, the Detroit Red Wings (29-7-5) take on the Dallas Stars (17-17-6). However, this time the Wings will face their opponent on the road instead of inside the Joe. Tonight's game marks the first game in a five-game road trip (six if you include the one game on the road following the All-Star break).

Detroit hopes to extend its six-game winning streak in which they have outscored their opponents 24-8. Chris Osgood will probably get the start in net.

The game starts at 8pm and will be shown on Versus. Go Wings!

Rafalski scores to give the Wings a 1-0 lead in the first!

He took a quick shot from the point and it re-directed off of a Stars defenseman and into the net. Wasn’t much Turco could do about that goal.

Homer scores 1:50 later.

Datsyuk dekes past Sydor and then makes a gorgeous backhanded pass to Homer who puts the puck in the net.

Go Wings!

Stars score with 3:59 left in the second.

It was Grossman’s first ever NHL goal in the regular season.

With 2:17 left in the first frame, Hossa scores!

He extends his scoring streak to four games. :)

Dang it.

Trevor Daly scores late in OT to win it for Dallas.

Wings lose 5-4.

Big win for Dallas to come from behind (3-1) to get the win. The only positive news? The Wings got at least a point in the loss.

didn't get to see the game i was out...

but it looks like we just flat out blew this one…but yea getting a point is good though. Kinda wanted to go atleast 2-1-1 in these 4 games this week…but i had this one listed as a win…but im sure we’ll bounce back

Go Wings!
