[Game Thread] Wings vs. Stars
The Detroit Red Wings (27-7-5) continue their three-game home stand with a game against the Dallas Stars (17-16-5), who are seemingly much improved without Sean Avery in the lineup. In their last nine games, Dallas is 6-2-1. As of January 7th, the Stars are four points out of eighth place in the Western Conference.
Chris Osgood will get the start in net tonight for Detroit.
For any of you southeastern Michigan hockey fans, former Plymouth Whalers stud James Neal is a rookie on the Stars this season. In fact, he has five goals in the last six games including Sunday's game winner in the shootout against Vancouver so be sure to keep an eye out for No. 18.
The game starts at 7:30pm and will be shown on FSDetroit. Go Wings!
