Datsyuk Out: Line changes

Pavel Datsyuk is sitting for tonight's game against the Kings as a result of an undisclosed body injury. This means lines will be shuffled a bit in order to fill the spot.

Here's a look at the lines for tonight's game, thanks to Ansar Khan of MLive.com:

Bertuzzi-Zetterberg-Cleary
Leino-Filppula-Williams
Helm-Abdelkader-Eaves
Holmstrom-Draper-Maltby

Lidstrom-Rafalski
Kronwall-Stuart
Ericsson-Lebda

Osgood

As you can see, Brett Lebda, Kris Draper, and Kirk Maltby all return to the ice tonight after being out for different periods of time. I particularly like the idea of putting Filppula's line back together, I think they've worked particularly well together.

Yikes

It’s worrisome how ordinary our lineup looks without Datsyuk and Franzen.

indeed.

We’ll need some good production tonight out of the guys like Leino and Filppula

could not agree more

i feel like the rumors of our depth have been greatly exagerated

It’ll be interesting to see how Kopitar handles Zetterberg tonight.

Holmstrom on the 4th line? What’s up with that?

The West Coast is the Best Coast.

psh i dunno

I dont understand the Holmstrom fourth line move at all. He’s our leading scorer with 3 goals so no idea. I know two of the goals were from deflections but that’s why he needs to be on the 3rd line. I would say second but they don’t want to break up that Filppula line i dont think.
