Wings Buffed by Avs Commentators

Because I'm a Red Wings fan living in Avs country, I noticed the Avalanche commentators were dissing the Red Wings and Detroit. Did anyone hear what I heard? The crew suggested that the Red Wings era was over and it's all the buzz in Detroit too. I'm not worried, but honestly, the homers in Denver are so high on their wins that they actually have the nerve to suggest this. I always have some Avs fan in my face screaming "red wings suck."
Great rivalry in the past, but now it's just not the same fans here in Denver. They really don't get it. They only care about winning- last season the Avs fan fled. No loyalty, just bandwagon.

What I find funny is that Avs fans were throwing in the towel before the season began. Now that they have been winning a few games, they are right back on the bandwagon. Personally I don’t think this team is good enough to play this good all year. They may be a playoff team, but I still think Detroit and Vancouver among other teams will outlast them.

What the Avs don’t have is the history we do, therefore, most people here don’t follow hockey. In Detroit, it’s all about hockey.

fair weather fans
I live down by Fort Carson area with a Red Wings license plate. At the start of last season, the gate guards on base were all like " Wings Suck, Avs Rule etc. " but by the end of the season it was " I hate the Red Wings, personally I like the Wild, Pens etc."
