Around SBN: Jeff Sullivan's MLB Trade Deadline Primer

For a little fun...

Check out the back and forth between The Chief at A2Y and a member of the Wild's SBN page, Hockey Wilderness.

Frankly, I'm not taking sides on this really but it sure is entertaining.

The Chief's original post--nothing Wild related: Instead of whining...

Hockey Wilderness opening jabs: Anyone else a little bored?

The Chief's response: Aww...SBN gave me a birthday present

Hockey Wilderness response (followed by Detroit comments): In defense of the caveman

LOL

I’ve not had a chance to read the last link yet. I leave work in 5 mins and that response looks like a 10 minute read, but I have definately gotten a good laugh from what I have read so far.

Thanks for the laugh, I needed it

Entertaining Indeed

I am SO glad that the filter on base here hasn’t cut out SB yet.

Not gonna lie, it incensed me a bit.

I mostly read A2Y for some good laughs, as the Chief knows his audience and really writes to them.

However, the two guys that participated in the first Wild post comments are completely off their rocker. As a guy who reads the always-excellent Bless You Boys, The Only Colors and of course Winging It primarily, it surprised me to see the guys who actually run the SB Nation Wild blog commenting the way they were. They’re blatantly troll baiting for clicks, and the whole thing came off as pretty pathetic. Quickly I got tired of trying to actually talk to the guy who wrote the post and left it in the capable hands of Chief.

I loved your comments, your posts were very witty. Those guys shouldn’t get to you, they got theere ass handed to them.

I was not aware of this at all! That was fantastic!

When I'm bored ...

I don’t usually go around smacking sarcastic people who LOVE to argue in the head to see what happens. Somehow I can’t see it as all that sensible. :)

WOW...

Wasn’t aware of these posts either, until now. Apparently not only is it cold in Minnesota but it’s “bitter” cold. Haha, see what I did there with the quotes? Kinda like the way we describe Cyndy and his status on the team… with quotes. Only the Wild are bitter and Cyndy is anything but a “captain”

I didn’t read every single post but I got enough of it to know what was up.

First off… the crap about our beloved city and it’s economic state was just wrong!! But, it does let me know that your reply posts definatly got to him. Maybe if buddha’s team was in the same position our team is in EVERY year, he would feel different. Maybe following a last place team every year gets to you over time. The way we feel when our excellent team loses due to possible outside reasons or “conspiracy theories” …most likely not.

Everyone hates a whiner winner.
