[Game Thread] Red Wings vs. Kings

The Los Angeles Kings (26-25-9) are in town as they take on the Detroit Red Wings (40-13-8) tonight at Joe Louis Arena. While the Kings are still out of a playoff spot, they are markedly improved particularly on the blue line so it should be a great game.

After suffering an upper body injury on Wednesday, Marian Hossa will not play tonight due to a stiff neck. He did not practice on Thursday and was listed as day-to-day. While defenseman Brett Lebda is feeling better, head coach Mike Babcock stated that he would not play on Friday. Ville Leino will take Hossa's spot in the lineup.

Chris Osgood is looking forward to starting in goal tonight for the first time since playing against Colorado on Feb. 15.

"I feel great," Osgood said after Friday's practice. "I had a good break. I feel sharp. I had a good practice. Is it something that you want to go through, no, but you just have to figure some things out and I feel I'm ready to go."

The game starts at 7:30 p.m. and will be shown on FSDetroit Plus. For specific channel information, you can check out their website. Go Wings!
