Wings shorten training camp to 3 days

The Detroit News pointed out today that the Wings' training camp will only be three days this year due to the games in Sweden to start the season as well as the Olympics taking place next year.

The camp will be Sept. 13-15 at Traverse City's Centre ICE arena.

There will be a workout and intrasquad scrimmage on Sept. 13, followed by additional scrimmages on Sept. 14-15. Tickets can be purchased from Centre ICE arena beginning June 27 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

The Wings' camp will be preceded again by the NHL Prospects Tournament on Sept. 6, 7, 9 and 10. The eight-team tournament includes Detroit, Carolina, Columbus, Atlanta, Dallas, Minnesota, St. Louis and the Rangers. Tickets are $5 daily and are good for four games each day.
