It's now a best of 3

Well, since I was at work and didn't really have the chance to watch the game, I can't inject my thoughts about where the Wings went wrong.  But, from scrolling through the live blog on mlive.com, it looks like the Wings were out played from the start.

Now that this series has gone from a Best-of-7 to a Best-of-3, does anyone think that its possible for the Wings to drop 4 of 5?  Or will this be a series in which the home team wins at home?

Outplayed

Actually the Wings were only outplayed for about a six minute segment of the second period BUT, and this is a serious BUT….They just might have given the Pens a serious case of CONFIDENCE in a 2 out of 3 short series.

Agreed

The penguins have played well in spurts while the Red Wings just play their game. I was concerned that the six minute goalfest would lead into an even larger blowout. However, Osgood seemed to shake it off and made some spectacular saves in the 3rd. I don’t blame Osgood at all for last nights loss. Turnovers led to all three 2nd period penguin goals. I would expect the Red Wings to keep plugging away and not complain. They have not been outplayed over the course of an entire game yet. It’s only during a couple of spurts that the penguins were able to do enough to win games.

and not complain?
like they way they were fighting with each other in the locker room after the game?
probably hear-say but i find it amusing.

The only ones talking about problems between Red Wing players

are penguin players. Last time I checked, they weren’t in the Red Wings’ locker room. Try backing up your blog-diarrhea with a link. Of course, I do find you amusing.

The Red WIngs looked lazy

They were missing passes and playing very sloppy in every period in my opinion. The 2nd was particularly pathetic. I love the Wings, but they better step it back up a notch or two.

Agreed

But apparently I’ve lost my marbles. (see above)

Yeah

I saw that. These Pens fans are just feeling good because their team finally did something good. When the chips are down again, they will be bitching about the refs or something else, just like they were when they were down 2-0. If in fact the Wings players were fighting in the locker room after the game, then it probably had to do with someone being pissed off and placing blame on someone else. Yes, they were probably complaining. I would be complaining if I were on the team and we lost to Pittsburgh too….there is no excuse for it. :o)

kaiser

yousay they were outplayed for a 6 minute segment, you can say that if you want but after the second period the penguins werent thinking score score score..they were more concerned with not giving you guys chances and they did a damn good job…first period was even 2 and 3 was all pittsburgh…see you ladies in detroit

by crosbykillsflyers on Jun 5, 2009 2:11 AM CDT reply actions

Period 3 was even. Both teams had chances. Both goaltenders were spectacular in the 3rd.

but yes you were outplayed for a 6 minute segment, pretty badly too, but after that segment we didnt really need to be as aggresive in the offensive zone

Wings can and will win tomorrow now, if wings go up 3-2, they need to win just 1 game in 6 nights

IMO

I thought the wings looked tired, not that they were slow, but they were not passing as crisp as I have been foced to watch for the last #$!#$ years. If the wings start playing like they have in the past, the win. If not… Lord, not that. not The Amazing Diving Sensation, Mr Flopguin Himself, Crysby. Bleeh

Where on this thread....

did anyone say anything about a conspiracy? I am a Wings fan, and I do not think there is a conspiracy by the league against the team. Why are you even here troll? Go back to your Penguins blog and stfu. Nobody here cares to listen to you drool all over yourself.

I saw the "conspiracy theory" on the other thread

So I apologize…..but I for one would sincerely appreciate it if you limit your negative comments to the thread from which they originate. If you can’t at least do that, then see my above post….:o)
