Post Game Reaction to the Slash on Datsyuk
Mike Babcock:
Q. What did you think of the slash of Talbot with Pavel Datsyuk, and was it a little too conveniently placed for your liking?
A. Well, I wouldn’t ?? I’m not going there. The bottom line is they’re doing what they can to win, and we’re going to do what we can to win.
Pavel Datsyuk:
Q. Did you think that Maxime Talbot is trying to go after that foot of yours?
A. I don’t know. I drew penalty, I’m happy we have penalty, five on three. That’s what it is.
Coach Bylsma:
Q. I’m sure the Red Wings will wonder about Max Talbot’s slash on Pavel Datsyuk’s foot. Your thoughts on any suggestion that might have been targeting a player’s injured area or sensitive area?
A. I haven’t seen the penalty. I thought I saw the referee wave the no call, and then put his arm up. That was the only thing I know about that situation.
You know, Max is a physical player and it’s not the only check he finished tonight and went to the net several times. So I don’t have any comment. I don’t even know what foot it is for Pavel. Thank you.
Sidney Crosby:
Q. Anticipating that the Wings are probably sore about Max slashing Datsyuk on the foot, considering he just came off that injury. What was your reaction?
A. I didn’t see it. I mean, this is the playoffs. And there’s lots of stuff going on out there. I’m sure that’s not the only slash. It’s the playoffs.
