KHL lies to NHL

Is someone an ESPN Insider or just know what this may be referencing?  I was strolling around the internet looking for updates and came across this little gem refering to Jiri Hudler on ESPN.  Normally I try not to worry too much about what ESPN thinks but for some reason I am extremely curious as to what this is about.

This is a slow time so any thoughts or even theories would be appriciated.

Many Thanks JazzyBBP

This is absolutely nothing like I thought it was about. Seems like way too much nonsense over a mediocre player who wants to be the go to guy and not just a contributing player on a great team. I mean granted it is his choice, but Jiri come on … if we could go back in time and ask the child version of yourself what he wanted I bet the answer would be to become a better player and not be the center of attention. I mean that is what these athletes are out there striving for … right?

Hudler

He’s going to Russia for the 5 million per year tax free. The wings would have to pay him over 7 mil a year just to make up for the tax loss. It’s got nothing to do with being center of attention. I don’t know anyone who would turn down twice as much money to work closer to home.

Jiri won his arbitration

5.7 mil over 2 yrs. The Wings retain his rights if Huds comes back.
