NHL releases national TV schedule

The NHL released its national TV schedule for the 2009-10 season on Thursday. WIM has already dissected the Wings' regular season schedule, but here is a breakdown of the games that Detroit makes it onto the national stage courtesy of Puck the Media:

Oct. 13 – at Buffalo, 7:00 PM (VERSUS/TSN)
Oct. 29 – at Edmonton, 9:30 PM (TSN)
Oct. 31 – at Calgary, 10:00 PM (CBC)
Nov. 3 – vs. Boston, 7:00 PM (VERSUS/TSN)
Nov. 7 – at Toronto, 7:00 PM (CBC)
Nov. 21 – at Montreal, 7:00 PM (CBC)
Nov. 23 – at Nashville, 7:00 PM (VERSUS/TSN2) 
Dec. 28 – at Columbus, 7:00 PM (VERSUS/TSN2)

According to the Puck the Media blog post linked above, the Wings and Capitals have the highest number of nationally televised games among U.S. teams (Boston and Pittsburgh came in with 21 games). Two Canadian teams, Edmonton and Ottawa, will also have 22 contests. Only Calgary (24), Montreal (42), Toronto (42), and Vancouver (25) have more.
