Hawks Patrick Kane arrested for assault in Buffalo

http://www.detnews.com/article/20090809/SPORTS0103/908090339/1004/Chicago-Blackhawks-forward-Patrick-Kane-arrested-in-Buffalo

Just read this article about Patrick Kane getting arrested in Buffalo on www.detnews.com

It got me to thinking about how Roger Goodell, Commissioner of the NFL, suspends and punishes his players for their actions, if Gary Bettman will do the same.

I'd like to hear your opinions on this incident and what you think would be appropriate actions taken by the NHL.

I saw this

on the front page of yahoo internet and I laughed so hard! It was only 20 cents he stole!!!! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! plus he attacked the guy too. Probably a two game suspension. But knowing Bettman (after the malkin thing with zetterberg) he won’t get squat……

Dany Heatley killed teammate Dan Snyder in September of 2003 after he lost control of his car. He was intoxicated, though not over the legal limit. Heatley pleaded guilty to the entire incident and was not suspended as far as I am aware.

So I doubt anything will happen. However, I am sure Kane will no longer be gracing the cover of NHL 10. Again in 2003, Joe Thorton was supposed to be the cover athlete for NHL 2004. He got an assault charge and was taken off the cover. Heatley replaced him and then he too got thrown off for the above incident and was replaced by Joe Sakic.

Ungreatful POS

Here is the guy who Pat Verbeek let stay at his house and got his start in Detroit and all he can say in the news before the Detroit-Chicago series is how much he hates Detroit… Grow up and be greatful for where you are… and get physical with body checks and dropping the gloves if you’re so tough. Not Squeezing into a pile of players by jabbing with your stick… Exhibit A of why fighting can’t be taken out of the NHL… You’ll have more Sharpe and Kane incidents.
