WIM Haiti Relief Thread Poll

I brought this idea up last night in the game thread about donating 5 cents for every comment in a game thread to the Red Cross to go to relief for the earthquake in Haiti. Of course, this isn't asking you guys to donate to the fund directly (unless you want to, in that case contact me) but to just participate in it so we can have as much participation as possible for the highest donation. Once again, it's free to comment and you are not obligated at all to donate.

That being said, answer the poll below to let us know which is the best game for you to come to and we'll go with the majority.

Poll
Which of the next five games are you most likely to be able to join and participate in a game thread? (other than Thursday)
LA Kings, Saturday 7:00PM

Phoenix, Tuesday 1/26, 7:00 PM

@Minnesota, Wednesday 1/27, 8:00 PM

Nashville, Friday 1/29, 7:30 PM

@ Pittsburgh, Sunday 1/31, 12:30 PM

Any of the above are fine

Whoa whoa whoa....

Look who’s here! Where are you during the game threads!?

Hahaha.

Whoa, I kinda thought you’d be boycotting me after I stuck up for Ozzie last night in my recap and subsequent comments on TSO. (Andy promised me he’d still be blog BFF with me, though, so I expect you to do the same.) I witnessed your and BDS’s Kyle’s Bert debate, then I saw you both ragging on Ozzie, and I decided I wanted no part of that backlash. ;)

Truth be told, the reason I am always absent from WIM and A2Y game threads is because I feel stupid trying to participate in actual live blogging when I have dial-up internet at home. I know that’s my excuse for everything, but it’s true; any time I’ve tried to do a real time conversation, I always end up 50 steps behind everyone else, so in the time it takes to reload the page, everyone’s talking about something else, and then I cry.

First of all, everyone’s entitled to their opinion on Chris Osgood. Just because you’re wrong doesn’t mean I don’t like you anymore. HAHAHA! But truth be told, there’s very little you could do to make TPL NOT be fans of TSO. Fact.

Next, Kyle and I butt heads, HARD, regarding Bertuzzi. But he’s a good egg and we have a good relationship (I hope HA), so we’re allowed to bicker like Italian women. Life is BORING if everyone gets along with everyone else about everything.

You should TOTALLY try to come join the WIM threads. It’s not that FAST, in terms of missing something due to dial-up. But I understand the hesitation.

I never do game threads either...

I think this is because I watch most of the games online, and keeping up with that and Twitter is about all I can handle. Plus, I’m in the car listening on XM for the first period a lot of the time. But I did the Pension Plan Puppets one the other night, and I’m not even a Leafs fan, so I really have no excuse not to do ours! :)

(For the record, they did 6 cents a comment and got over 10,000 comments.)

Canadien money or American?

haha. well, we’ll adjust the amount based on how much we are able to raise

Hmm, good question...

They never actually said Canadian or US. And both Canadian and US-based bloggers were putting up $, so who knows…

And another thing – apparently some Senators blog did it first, and some Sens fans got upset at PPP for not giving them enough credit and/or trying to outdo them, so if you get any Sens hate mail, that’s probably why.

it did start at SIlver Seven Sens

i’ve done 3 of these threads already. it started at Silver Seven Sens on saturday (went well with the CBC double-header), then PPP did it, then The Cannon did it last night (with lots of help from Broad Street Hockey)

I’ll be here for the Wild game

I’d be here for game threads more often, but I’m usually over at A2Y with that gang of incorrigible reprobates.

I’ll try to make it for the Haiti donations for sure, if I can.
