With the Red Wings sitting a tie-breaker ahead of the Calgary Flames for the final playoff spot, the Red Wings host the seventh-place team in the Western Conference, the Los Angeles Kings, to Joe Louis Arena.

The Wings have taken the two previous games this year over the Kings: 5-2 on October 15 and 2-1 on January 7.

For Los Angeles, Brown has been hot, with three goals and four points in the last six games. Meanwhile Patrick Eaves has jumped aboard the hot train with a couple of goals in the last three games.
