I hate the Coyotes. I hope that NHL-owned team crashes in the desert and they all have to eat their own hockey gloves to survive.

We’d better not get any more of that : we played hard! crap. They need to be able to FINISH!!

It's not even right.

We have an overflow thread and they only have 17 comments by pretty much the same dude on theirs. They have no fans.

by Elfuego51 on Jan 26, 2010 8:45 PM CST reply actions

I do remember a few games back, I wasn’t commenting, just reading, and we only had about 30 comments, mostly by the same person. Still, I WANTED THEM TO WIN!!

by crperreau on Jan 26, 2010 8:46 PM CST up reply actions

they have a lot of fans I suppose

Since they are owned by the league.

by DetroitALLtheWay09 on Jan 26, 2010 8:47 PM CST reply actions

So we get our guys back, and everyone says that was the problem

Explain this. Our captain, our nearly 40 year old captain, busts his ass and scores two to give us a two goal lead, and they can’t even hold it together for 10 minutes. then, they can’t even hold it together for overtime. what’s our excuse now. we suck, plain and simple. if there is a playoffs in detroit this year, we’re here for four games and we’re getting absolutely steamrolled. i love babcock, and i love the core of this team, but something’s gotta give, because we cannot be competitive with the group we’ve got. not in the least.

Lidstrom got the team the win and they couldn't hold on to it.

I hate most of this team. Hate them.

i think he gets the start

because right now, it’s not a goaltending issue that’s losing games for us. It’s the defense collapsing.

by Casey Richey on Jan 26, 2010 8:51 PM CST up reply actions

I agree it wasn't goaltending (although Howard had rebound issues tonight)

but gotta do something to stop this inexcusable collapsing.

by Ryan Weiss on Jan 26, 2010 8:52 PM CST up reply actions

It wasn’t the goaltending, but Howard certainly didn’t win the game. His save percentage was worse than Chris Osgood’s average and he gave up as more goals than he has since October 30th.

Can't help but think it's possibly a coaching issue

as much as I love Babs

what else could he do though?

The best coach in the world could tell them “don’t have brain farts” and it wouldn’t do any good.

defense is hurting us

have you been noticing that all three goals was the stuart line? and the camera
would focus on stuart?

he’s still choking way too many times

by forever_rednwhite on Jan 26, 2010 8:56 PM CST up reply actions

this was just a bad game for him

But the last couple months he’s been out of position a lot covering for either Meech or Lebda, whichever of the brain fart twins was his defensive partner.

agreed

Noone applauded Brad when he was good but they’re quick to pick on him when he flubs up. I think a lot of that goes back to SCF G7 of last year.

by Casey Richey on Jan 26, 2010 8:59 PM CST up reply actions

for most of this season

He has been steady and solid as a rock, playing huge minutes very reliably.

It just sucks the chrome off a trailer hitch that he had to have such a colossally bad game tonight.

chrome off a trailer hitch?

Sure – last I checked we still had free speech.

Maybe it will spread a little more widely than another phrase that Andy from Fight Night at the Joe is enamoured of.

I thought there was no possible way

for the Red Wings to again give up a two goal lead when they were leading 1-0 and didn’t seem interested in getting anything more. When it was 1-2, I would have bet that it was impossible, especially with the Red Wings refusing to tie games. But Nicklas Lidstrom had other thoughts on that and the streak continues.

And the Red Wings need to lose tomorrow in overtime to go 4-4-4 this month.

by bleep bloop on Jan 26, 2010 8:55 PM CST reply actions

alright folks. thanks for joining

very deflating loss but all we can do is look to the game tomorrow night and hope for a W

by Casey Richey on Jan 26, 2010 8:55 PM CST reply actions

I think we all need to get used to hearing this

“With the 14th pick of the 2010 Entry Draft, the Detroit Red Wings select…”

by eight_legged_freaks on Jan 26, 2010 9:04 PM CST reply actions

just home from work.

as of right now i dont feel like we deserve to be in the playoffs. maybe its because ive gotten used to us being in the top 4 at this point of the season but i dont know. this is def not team that plays like they want a stanely cup. to be honest its incredibly embarrassing. i hope something happens and this team pulls their head out of their ass and becomes a wrecking crew i seen this team become in the past.
