Site News: CSSI Tracking Post now Awesome
I'm too much of a neanderthal to figure out this confarbled internet thingy, but fortunately, Casey is a smart, talented, and might I add handsome man, so now the CSSI Tracking Post now has sortable columns. Click on the column header to sort either ascending or descending. Now you don't have to do complicated head-math to find out who's second-best for adjusted plus/minus after team MVP Pavel Datsyuk's big-ass +14.
Look at us, all smart-charty an' stuff.

Very cool
I made an evil laugh when I saw Datsyuk’s adjusted +/- versus his actual +/-. He’s been a beast so far this season, I hope he winds up at +infinity by the end of the year!
Lidstrom
He’s on pace for a career high in points at his career high in age, and has an official +/- that is sexy. Is a Norris at 40-41 a real possibility? Or will the voters forget that he didn’t retire?
If, and that’s a big, scary “if” he can stay on this pace, I can’t see how the Norris voters overlook him for not living up to the standard he’s set for himself.
That said, there are going to be some big challengers this year. I think the crap that almost got Drew Doughty the Norris last year (he’s insanely good considering his age, but when you take age out of the equation, he’s only really really good) could also work in Lidstrom’s favor.

Perhaps I'm misinterpreting something...
…but shouldn’t the “Adjusted Points” column be the sum of “Adjusted Goals” and “Adjusted Assists?” It looks like Stuart and Franzen are shorted an adjusted half-point, while Filppula is issued a half-point from the ether.
Like I said, maybe I’m missing the rationale behind this. Keep up the good work, guys.
For some reason
When the numbers transferred over, the half-goals got screwed up. Filppula was only awarded a half-goal for his game-winner against Chicago (attempted pass across the middle that Hjalmarsson deflected past turco). For some reason, it rounded that number up.
Stuart and Franzen split credit for the goal against the Predators where they both slapped at the puck, but for some reason it had rounded their numbers down. The post is fixed now with the correct numbers.

Pavel on pace
for adjusted +112. LMFAO! That’s awesome.
I have so much reading and stuff to catch up on. :(
It makes me sad. Maybe I’ll have to wait until after Christmas. #toobusy #holidayrush
