He's just so bad
As a Ferris State fan, he reminds me of Chris Zarb. (Who singlehandely brought into existance the “Damn it Zarb!” insult)

Maybe we could get the #8 and them the #1
Since they are so choke-prone.

I have always hated them
I might hate them slightly – SLIGHTLY – less if Detroit won more often, but I doubt it.

What a wild game, to be decided in the worst possible way.

can we put ozzy in just for the shootout?
is that legal?
Official BYB Juju Consultant...now accepting rally creature applications!
I think some team did that last year
Probably not a good idea if he’s cold, though.

Howard should be as aggressive...
in the SO as he is on regular chances. Pokecheck for once or hold ground.
Alright goalie fight at center ice to decide it

well, on the plus side....
….I’m not sure I expected any points out of playing the Sharks and the Sens, so at least there’s one in the ledger

Franzen for sure
Maybe not Zetterberg. Shootouts just aren’t his thing.
"While there's life, there's hope." --Cicero
agreed
Franzen over Bert, Bert over Hank. But what’s done is done, and we got one (point)
by Casey Richey on Feb 11, 2010 9:31 PM CST up reply actions
i actually would put Bert over Hank
Bert has really good hands and doesnt just shoot it like Hank is so inclined to do.
by Casey Richey on Feb 11, 2010 9:30 PM CST up reply actions
I'd put Franzen in the three hole though
Pavel, Williams, and Franzen.
But better to not end games on stupid gimmicks anyway. :(
"While there's life, there's hope." --Cicero
bert just seems to slow or predictable i dont know
atleast in the past hank was actually decent in the shootout. but all well.
draft micah johnson
Yeah, I’d put that as the order. I just meant i have no objections to Bert over Hank in that dept.
by Casey Richey on Feb 11, 2010 9:34 PM CST up reply actions
well, good night folks
One point is better than nothing – and much better than that is the team at least played well and looked good. And no one got hurt this time.
"While there's life, there's hope." --Cicero
Emotion from Jimmy Howard, I am truly amazed. Normally he’s very (to steal another players nickname) vanilla about things.
was he ticked? upset?
Better not be crying. He has nothing to be that sad about.
(I can’t watch postgame after a loss. I’ll watch the game, but not the immediate postmortem.)
"While there's life, there's hope." --Cicero
Seemed kind of resigned, but ticked off at the same time actually. They asked him if he was sick of shootouts, and he’s like “UGH yeah, it’s kind of comical, but I am getting tired of them” normally he’s just “oh, yeah, it was nice, haha”.
I love the postgame, especially when they win. Even losses are interesting though.
And no he wasn’t crying, lol. Did you see the ’Canes young netminder after he won? Now that was crying.
He doesn’t strike me as the crying type, actually – some guys it wouldn’t surprise me, just because they are so open about all their emotions, but he seems very controlled. I could see his eyes tearing up if he was extremely upset, but he’d cry behind closed doors.
He’s older, though, too – when a really young kid, college age or so, cries, it doesn’t surprise me – it’s an emotional few years even without the turmoil of a hockey game going on, and strong emotions take a few years to master.
"While there's life, there's hope." --Cicero
I meant Howard
Yes, I saw the winning goaltender. Waterworks galore. :)
"While there's life, there's hope." --Cicero
The ‘Canes netminder just made me feel happy for him, really. Better to cry for a win than a loss. And yeah, I can see Howard getting a little teary eyed behind closed doors, never in public. It’s kind of what I meant by him being “vanilla”, he doesn’t seem the type to show a ton of emotion over anything.
The crying that really upset me was when they showed the University of Miami Ohio’s hockey team crying at Brendan Burkes funeral-that made me get teary eyed myself.
I think it’s sweet when someone cries with joy – at a happy moment like that it’s right to have emotions spill over. That I think of as tears that should be shared.
I don’t like seeing someone cry when they are upset, because it seems so intrusive. I know they just want to be left alone then, and aren’t allowed to be.
