Jimmy Starting, Kronwall out
Looks like Jimmy Howard will start in net for the Wings tonight against the Anaheim Ducks. Kind of shocking, I thought Osgood would get the chance considering it is a back to back but Holland said Howard is in. Howard won his 20th game of the year last night, 4-2 over SJ.
Kronwall is definitely out after a tweaked leg (knee, ankle, who knows?) and Jonathan Ericsson is back in.

Malik over at Snapshots is calling it a knankle injury.
And amen to the previous comment. Big Rig needs to get some confidence back, and quick. Where’s the rock we had in the playoffs last year?

Really?
Is May supposed to talk them into a stupor? Because the fighting thing, yeah, not all that much.

anaheim always plays a physical game
maybe babcock wants someone just as (or trys to be) physical.
thats the only explanation i could come up with.
I understand the theory
It’s just that May is kind of useless.
Although if the Ducks go after him and the worst happens, at least the Wings won’t have lost someone useful to injury!

yeah i agree with you
i wasnt saying i agree with putting may in for maltby hahaha just trying to come up with a reason why they did it.
I actually would like to see him try
To talk someone into a comatose state. He has a wonderful quality to his voice and is very well spoken – I wish he would retire quickly and start announcing. Just based on his speech alone, ignoring any knowledge, he would be better than 80% of the guys calling games right now. :)

I totally agree with you
And I’ve been saying this for ages. For an enforcer, he is so eloquent in his interviews that I think he’d have a great career announcing. He seems like a very nice person so it’s hard to hate him, but he hasn’t been doing much for the team for sure… But I’d love to see him as an announcer.
