Last year at this time, the talk was about how the Columbus Blue Jackets were striving to make the playoffs for the first time in franchise history, while the Detroit Red Wings were setting up for their playoff run. Now everything's shifted down a notch: it's the Red Wings who on the bottom half of the playoff seedings, while Columbus sits in next-to-last place, running out the clock on a season that has imploded upon itself.
And we get to see this three times in the final six games.
The hottest team in the NHL puts their six-game winning streak on the line as they face off against the Blue Jackets at Joe Louis Arena. The Red Wings are 9-0-1 in their last ten, and 12-2-1 since the Olympic break. Meanwhile, the Blue Jackets sit in last place in the Central.
Faceoff is at 7:30. The game is on Fox Sports Detroit and Fox Sports Ohio. Comment away below.

So with the way we've been playing lately
You can’t help think that we’d be top of the division if we were healthier this season. That’s a lot of “what ifs” but the fact that we’re this close to Chicago. at this point in the season says something too.

This team just beat the Blackhawks twice last week. Granted, Chicago may be doing their annual March swoon, but some combination of “The Red Wings are red hot!” and “The Blue Jackets are second to last” makes me uneasy for tonight.
The only team behind them is the Oilers, and we all know how easily the Red Wings handle that team.

yeah i got a dry socket plus the stitches came undone so I woke up early found a dentist who re did it but he was super rough and I got super swollen, didn’t get ice in time and now I look like popcorn. Plus my fingers are not in great shape today.

I understand baseball but not the hype. It’s not so big in Michigan, really, except when the Tigers are doing well.
Oh there is nothing better than relaxing on a warm day/night, eating peanuts, drinking beer, and watching a game…even if it’s the Indians.
I like baseball and hockey both
Because the pacing is perfect for the seasons.
