I’m very interested to see how the teams come out. I think all the pressure is on Washington, at home, their incredibly regular season, Norris-nominee Mike Green (HAH!), all that talent – and Montreal has already done more than most people thought they were going to in this series.

I don’t believe Versus handles regional coverage. Generally, local teams get all of Round 1, then Versus can pick a game or two per series for exclusivity for Round 2, then they get the Conference Finals and Stanley Cup Finals.
We had a game start at 6:30 in this series
So they are willing to push the earlier games back a little as well

I kept saying that for the three years I had Filppula in my fantasy draft.
He reminds me of an old Wing named Dan Labraaten (remember him?) in that he looks better than his numbers. It’s hard to reconcile what you see on the highlight reels with 40 points.

I can’t handle mute. Too much information lost in the sounds of the game itself.
I have found with some broadcasts on surround sound, that you can turn off the centre speakers and shut up the announcers and keep the rest.. That’s pretty awesome on McGuire nights.

My son knows very little about hockey, he is five, and we are starting to teach him who the names of the players are, what the players numbers are, what constitutes a goal, ect ect. So he hears me yell the first two times and comes down stairs and asks who scored, ect. I tell him Pav, then he falls asleep, comes down stairs when I yell the third time, and asks “Daddy, did Paveel Daytisuk (can’t say the name right lol) get a new hat”? PROUDEST MOMENT OF MY LIFE!
