PrintSan Jose started out with three goals within a very short span but Dan Cleary got one back for the Wings and screened Nabokov on a Johan Franzen shot to put the Wings within one goal.
Dan Cleary's been a great factor in this game but will the injury affect his ability to play in the rest of the game?

Fuck the Sharks, Fuck the refs.
I’m sorry, but I can’t make any promises right now about my sportsmanship. The Sharks are diving bitches and the refs apparently think that being slashed IN THE FACE is a penalty box-worthy offense.
Wings won that game, in my mind. 3 goals in 90 seconds probably won’t happen again, and I doubt they’ll be able to win a series (even as shaky as our OK has been) off of dubious calls and dives. If Detroit keeps playing like they have been, I say they win in 5 or 6.

without help from the refs. I still haven’t seen the three-goal flurry yet but I would guess that’s probably not something the Sharks will be able to count on. I don’t want to sound cocky, but they got a lot of help from the refs tonight and all things considered I still don’t think they can take the wings in a best-of-seven series based on what I’ve seen from both teams lately.
That said, I’m not about to put the cart before the horse. San Jose is a solid team and if their offense gets going they have a real shot. Detroit will have to muster a tight 60 minutes to beat them on any given game. They looked pretty good (for the most part) through the neutral zone from what I saw and were able to create some quality opportunities. But if we play them like we did for 58:30 tonight, it could be a short series.
Also, fuck the refs. Just puttin’ that one out there (again). I’d like to see a Red Wing MAKE A PLAYER BLEED with a SLASH TO THE FACE and somehow manage to get the OTHER GUY sent to the box for it. Yeah, that’d be the fucking day.

couldve happened with any team in any series, nothing to do with either team, just the way it goes, and you have to roll with it. wings came back and thats why i’m ok with the loss we still came close to tying it and kept a 1 goal deficit, i was expecting a split anyway. it can go either way still, not a case of favoritism here, wings in 6!
