Red Wings sign Ilari Filppula, brother of Valtteri
Detroit added a bit of roster depth today by signing Ilari Filppula to a contract. Ilari is the older brother of Valtteri Filppula and has spent his entire career in the Finnish system.
Ilari gained some internet fame for this beauty of a goal and with with the Jari Kurri award for MVP of the playoffs, he might have some potential. It's unlikely that he'll play with the Wings all that much but you never know.
