Grade 'Em: Jonathan Ericsson - Suffice to say that The Big Rig had a very disappointing season.  But how disappointed are you?  Was it just a sophomore slump (even though it was his first full season) or perhaps our expectations were a bit too high...let us know what you think.

James Norris Memorial Trophy Winner Is... - The crew over at Red Wings Guy Dot Com continue on with their own set of awards for the Detroit and this time they look to who they think is the best defenseman.  Two out of three of their answers might surprise (anger?) some of you.

It’s not a popular when you vote against Lidstrom is any way. Most will not criticize him when if fails to produce like a $7 million player should. Is Nick one of the best (if not the best) defensemen ever? Yes. But If you’re going to make that kind of money, you better step it up or call it quits. Neither Rafalski or Lidstrom had great years, but I still think Brian made fewer big mistakes.

So you call him the best defenseman ever yet say he needs to step it up?

Yes. That tells you how sad the Wings’ D was this year.
