Ciccarelli, Devellano headed to HOF
Former Red Wing forward Dino Ciccarelli and current team Vice President Jim Devellano are headlining the Hockey Hall of Fame's Class of 2010.
Ciccarelli scored 608 goals and 1,200 points in his 19-year career, most of which was spent with the Minnesota North Stars and Red Wings. Devellano has been with the team since the early 1980s, and is best known for drafting Steve Yzerman fourth overall in the 1983 NHL Entry Draft.
Also being inducted for the first time are women players Cammi Granato and Angela James, who played for the U.S. and Canadian national teams, respectively.
I already did a write about this at SB Nation Detroit, so you can head over there for more details. Here's the complete Class of 2010:
PLAYERS
Dino Ciccarelli--608 goals and 1,200 points in 19 NHL seasons
Cammi Granato--15-year member of U.S. national team.
Angela James-- 5-time IIHF gold medalist
BUILDERS
Jim Devellano--Former GM and current VP of Detroit Red Wings
Daryl Seaman--Bought Atlanta Flames in 1980 and moved them to Calgary

Awesome!
Great to hear Dino made it in. I remember when the Class of 2009 was announced, the articles all over the hockey world were wondering why he was left out (yes, we know, off ice issues) and listed it as a snub. Good to see the Hall made up for it quickly.
My favorite Dino quote....
“I can’t believe I shook his friggin hand”….HOF worthy or not (we can debate that later), it’s nice to see Dino get in. Loved him as a Red Wing, hated playing against him when he wasn’t….
