Kovalchuck re-signs with the Devil(s)

Just thought I'd post this since I didn't see it on here already. From tsn:

At least we won't have to deal with him in the West. Not sure what this does with Jersey's cap space. Now maybe we'll see some more deals fall into place since everyone seemed to be waiting to see where he landed.

The NHL needs to put an end to the mega deal. It’s ridiculous. I know that Holland is the one who pioneered it to circumvent the cap, but it really is bad for the league. His deal will be over when he is freaking 44. As soon as he hits 38 and his salary drops to nothing, he’ll retire and go to the KHL unless he grows to love the Devils. These deals should be reserved for homegrown talent. You shouldn’t be able to sign a free agent to a life contract. Gah. This upsets me, obviously.

Der Fuhrer Bettman....

is an idiot. There usedf to great teams and great rivalries in the NHL. Those days are over now. Bettman needs to go before all the elite talent ends up in the KHL where they can make money.
