Worried?
The top 4 were very easy for me to come up with – it was 6 through 19 that gave me a hard time.

Federov left on very bad terms with the city. Even as Columbus was discussing trading him to a few teams (Washington, obviously, and even the Wings), fans here hated him. I was worried your list would leave him off or drop him way down because of it (I didn’t see 16- whatever). I grew up idolizing the guy. I might have even put him at #2, but it’s hard to say Lidstrom isn’t the 2nd best Wing of the last 20 or so years.

I made it a point to illustrate how he left. I know a lot of people still harbor bad feelings towards him for leaving. However, I can’t get past the fact that he was an unbelievably talented player who had a huge role in making the Wings as good as they were. To leave him off would have been a travesty. When I made the list, the first 4 names I wrote were (in order): Stevie, Nick, Sergei, Shanny.
