Blackhawks say goodbye to Niemi, hello to Turco

Just one more notch to the post of players leaving the Chicago Blackhawks. Seen here. They instead sign Marty Turco which should have many true Hawks fans a little nervous since the Detroit Red Wings have had his number for years. Well this is no surprise to many outside of Chicago as this can truly be called the Chicago Stanley and/or Bust formula to building championship teams. Are the Hawks out of the playoff hunt for next season? No. It's up to the 14 other teams to knock them out of a playoff berth. They'll just have a better time of doing it this coming season.

heh heh

I was crossing my fingers hoping they’d take Niemi back, because he sucks. I didn’t think they would, but I’ll take Turco too xD

We’z gonna put the hurt to Little Brother this year lol

No Limits.

As much as I love our division rivals losing all their players, saying they may be out of the playoff hunt is beyond ridiculous. They still have Toews, Kane, Sharp, Seabrook, Keith, Madden, Campbell, and Hossa. Not to mention Turco who is still go (even if he can’t beat the Wings). You can’t count off a team with that kind of core. They may have to lose a few more players, sure, but they still have a hell of a core.

yeah

I think the idea that they’re out of the playoff race is probably a fantasy. But I strongly doubt they’ll be the top seed; that plane will be flying back into Detroit this year ;D

No Limits.

I'm trying to remember...

… how many Wins Turco has at JLA in his career. I believe the answer is one. Total.

Yeah, this is a good thing for the Wings.
