He's just thinking outloud, but would this trade make sense? It would likely necessitate a move to the second line for Z, and would add some grit for the post-season. Could be a good move for the Wings, but I'd really like to see the BFF line together in the playoffs. Versteeg would probably skate on a second line with Z and Bertuzzi, with Franzen and Homer on the top line with Pasha. Or, would Hudler get a chance to move up?

At the end of the day, I don't think any tinkering is necessary. I also don't think Burke would pull the trigger, unless he feels the presence of a Finn (see: Selanne, Teemu) is absolutely necessary for success.
