UPDATE II: Chuck Pleiness has cleared the situation up. White will play tomorrow. Apparently another defenseman is banged up so Smith is sticking around until after tomorrow's morning skate at the latest. If Smith plays and the banged up D can't play, someone will have to be sent down to GR or waived. Likely candidate is Fabian Brunnstrom. The fact they're keeping Smith up to fill in for the hurt defensenman instead of using Commodore shows that Babcock must like the kid and wants him to play. I knew I liked Babcock for some reason. --- UPDATE: Now St. James and the Freep are saying Babcock told Smith not to go to GR. Maybe Commodore will be waived? Stay tuned. --- According to Helene St. James, Smith's time with the big club is over for now. He's going to the Griffins to make room on the roster for White. I'm going to the game tomorrow. Worst.
