Eaves to Miss Thursday's Game Against Stars
Via Freep, the Wings are planning on calling up a forward from Grand Rapids to replace Patrick Eaves in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Stars.
No further details on Eaves' "lower-body" injury, but I'll go ahead and say that knowing he's not going to play a day in advance isn't the greatest news.
More details in the article, but both Filppula and Modano plan to return Saturday against Buffalo.

So… who gets the call? Is Mursak sufficiently healed from his foot injury? Will Tarter get the call? Or do they want to look at Emmerton some more?

I would guess it’s going to be Emmerton or Mursak, considering the replacement need is a fourth-line grinder-type.
I think I’d like to see more of Emmerton.

Eaves won’t make the trip to Buffalo on Saturday either and right now he’s doubtful to get on Redbird 1 for the California trip next week.
