Around SBN: Why Hockey Fans Should Root For Devils Vs. Kings

The Wife's Craft

Just thought I'd share something pretty cool my wife made.  She's been watching me get into the Wings pretty hard core this year and decided to use her scrap book talents to make good ole Al the Octopus.  Enjoy her papercraft... thank God I have a wife that wants to watch hockey with me.  Props to all the guys out there and the commenting during the games.  Without you guys, we couldn't get through the losses....okay, we could but it would suck much more than it does right now.

Franzen scores 5 and Al is happy...

Very nice

Tell your wife that you are married to a talented woman. And any wife that not only tolerates your Wing fandom but embraces it is definitely a keeper.

Hahaha

She’s wanting to make a far more detailed one next go round.

Al the octopus

That’s really well made. You’re one lucky guy to find such a great gal!

Very cool

I like how it looks like he has one black eye, just like a real hockey player. :)

That's awesome.

It looks professional. She might have a new business lining up right now ha ha.

If only...

she’s tried making stuff and it just doesn’t seem to stick on the market.

has she tried selling through Etsy.com?

It’s a market something like ebay but specifically for crafts of all sorts. Jewelry, sewing, knitting, handmade soaps, patterns for such… even vintage clothing and accessories.

It might be something to look in to. She could get a bit more notice than just in her local area and wouldn’t need to make large numbers of things, like dozens of handmade cards for a table in a craft show.
