Jimmy Howard Injury update
According to Red Wings GM Ken Holland, Jimmy Howard's injury does not appear to be significant. From mlive after the jump:
Detroit Red Wings general manager Ken Holland said the injury to the goaltender Jimmy Howard does not appear to be significant.
Holland called it an upper-body injury.
"It doesn't appear to be anything significant, day-to-day,'' Holland said. "Looks like a strain or a sprain. He's going to go for a precautionary MRI, but he looked to be OK.''
He added: "Unless the tests come back anything different, doctors don't think so (it's serious).''
Holland said the club likely will recall somebody to back-up Joey MacDonald for Monday's game against Chicago.
Good news for the Wings as they prepare for the playoffs. Howard was injured after Joffrey Lupul fell on top of him 6:11 into the third period.

Good news
Well, cautiously good news. I’ll be happier once I know what the extent of the injury is and whether he’s going to miss any time.
Now, I normally would be worried...
Because no official word has come from the doctors, but when has good ol’ Kenny ever steered us wrong? His word is as good as true.
