Light At The End of the Tunnel for Jimmy/Goalie Situation
Nice little article about Jimmy and the injury scare this weekend.
This brings up an interesting issue: with the playoffs fast approaching and our two main guys injured, what do we do? I don't think anyone in their right mind thinks we take the #1 spot from Tiberuis now. But is Ozzy's backup spot safe? He hasn't played since January and has aggravated his injury at least once, possibly more (I think I remember him doing it before this last time). And Joey Mac is playing out of his mind right now (and somehow we STILL lose. Go figure)

I too am slightly uneasy about the goaltending situation. I’m not entirely sure what we do besides just ride it out. If the playoffs were tomorrow, I would have no problem seeing Big Mac in net should something happen. So, maybe it’s nothing. It just stinks to have inuries that keep players from getting on a roll. And, my heart really goes out to Joey. Dude have been playing out of his mind most of the time yet still manages to get a loss. It’ll all work out, but until then… I’ll stay slightly nervous.
Get your Al the Octopus for the playoffs

Comparatively
Joey and Ozzie have played about the same amount and MacDonald’s numbers are far superior to Ozzie’s.
That said, I think the backup spot would be Osgood’s.
Maybe at this point in their careers, they both have an unkown quantity of playoff ability, but I do know that, at least at some point, Osgood had a shit-ton of it.
