In an attempt not to play up the rematch of the historic comeback of Philadelphia against Boston, this instance will be the only mention I will make of it in this post. The goaltending matchup definitely favors Boston after the merry-go-round that is currently going on in the Philadelphia net. For all the questions against the Flyers in goal, I have to think that they're all--Boucher, Bobrovsky, Leighton--capable of winning games behind the Flyers offensive corps. One interesting stat: Boston has yet to score a power play goal.
Nashville was completely outplayed as most of us saw in Game 1, save for their savior Pekka Rinne who stepped up big time in the wake of his horrible-looking stats against the Ducks. Mike Fisher, Patric Hornqvist, David Legwand, Shea Weber, and co. are going to have to be very efficient with their scoring chances and start burying them if they intend to have games like Game 1 where the Canucks assert their dominance in all three zones.
Comment away and enjoy the games!
