Derek Boogaard is dead. Words escape me. This happened way too suddenly. For all the jokes about enforcers like him who can barely play the game, no one should have to leave the game this early nor in this fashion. As a hockey family member, I think I can speak for everyone when I say that every other member of the hockey family and I send our sympathies, condolences, heartfelt thoughts, and prayers to the Boogaard family and anyone and everyone else touched by this much-too-sudden passing.
