Someone at EA sports really knows Bertuzzi

I was looking through some of the screen shots today for NHL 12. Pretty standard stuff, until I stumbled across this gem.

Everyone is reacting to a bone crushing hit, except Bert, who looks like he's making a shopping list for after the game. When I saw this I just burst into laughter. If EA spent so much time on realism to actually get someone to delve into the mind of Bertuzzi this game is going to be amazing.

I'm laughing so hard it hurts.

That’s hilarious, and it’s so Bertuzzi-like.

Another moment of EA hitting the nail on the head.

My friend and I decided to make the Islanders a dynasty again in NHL 10, the season started and the first game DiPeitro got a season ending knee injury. We laughed till it hurt.

hmm

just to ruin it for everyone else, it is probably a proximity related response. If a person is x distance from y event, show this response.

I know.

I just love that it happened to be Todd “Everyone’s favorite serial killer” Bertuzzi. It was just to perfect.

I love how the response from everyone is to cover their face while their teammate has his back broken. That’s realistic.

It also makes me want to go start a new dynasty made entirely out of grinders. Not sure how well it would work, though.

That actually sounds like it would be a lot of fun.

I’m trying to think what my dream group of grinders would be. It would be hard, because of how many grinders I hate because they’re good at their jobs.
