Video of the Week. I was browsing through Youtube and remembered this lovely goal from not too long ago. I really thought we could've made the comeback. I'm typing this through teary eyes. God I can't wait for next season to start. I'll post another next Thursday.

Shows how little I know about coaching.
I was absolutely shocked. Abby Eaves Helm on the ice with less than 2 minutes to go in a win or go home situation. 3-3. Few seconds later, 4-3 and a few games later 3-3, game 7 for the series. Oh the bittersweet nostalgia.
After watching this video, and remembering how well he played during the playoffs this year. I really feel like Helm is going to develop into something really special, i.e. a top line center. I hope he is pushed into the second line to see what he can do/handle this year.

von Awesome – I have posted the same thing – he has shown major scoring ability and man can he duck and dive along the boards. If he’s given the chance to play on the top 2 lines and some PP time, I believe he will become a 60 or 70 point guy. #9

I do believe he will be. As I have said on multiple occasions, I believe Babcock will push Helm to challenge Filpula for that second line center spot. If Filpula doesn’t rebound from his ‘meh’ season last year, Helm may even be able to grab it from him.

watched all 11 games from my dorm room with no regard for other people (which is why i got some flak from roommates across the hall because they went to sleep early)
this goal and when Filppula scored in Game 6 were my proudest moments.
You wanna tell me that to mah face?!
Yes please!
I’m going again this year and I CAN’T FREAKING WAIT!!!! Bring on the hockey.

Bitter Sweet
nothing like seeing your favorite player score the game winner with less than 2 minutes left while wearing the number 43 jersey that came in the mail THAT DAY. 2012. its our year.
*shakes head, grins*
Dang, how many days till we drop the puck? Loved the video – was transported back to that thrilling moment. Thanks for the post! #9
