Winging It In Motown Welcomes New Contributor
-Editor's Note: We'd like to welcome a new member to the WIIM family, as we got a great find in Jason "Stripe" Kasiorek, the manager of Griffinscentral.com, the web's best fan source for coverage and news on the Wings' AHL affiliate Grand Rapids Griffins. Jason is going to be bringing us news from the western half of the state this season so we'll be able to keep track of how the future Red Wings are developing. Please give him a warm welcome.-
Hello, my Name is Jason and I have been around hockey for most of my life at one level or another. I currently reside in Grand Rapids, MI with my wife, two daughters and Griffindog. I have been a Red Wings fan since Randy Ladoucer wore #19, but will admit to having a soft spot for the Oilers as well. I currently run www.griffinscentral.com a website primarily dedicated to Grand Rapids Griffins, current farm team of the Red Wings. I have been writing about hockey for the last ten years for a couple different sites most notably Red Wings Central. My favorite former Wing is Gerard Gallant closely followed by Chris Chelios.
I'm excited to be joining the WIIM crew to bring you Griffins news all season. We'll have recaps of almost every Griffins home game at Griffinscentral which will be linked here at WIIM and I'll be bringing you team and player status updates as the season goes along. Please let me know if you have any questions. There's also always a good group of people at the Griffinscentral message boards to help out if you're looking for info. Looking forward to another year of hockey!

That’s completely serious, no sarcasm. Don’t want to look like a jerk here. Stupid internet and its inability to indicate sarcasm.

I would prefer a giant red button on your desk that you slap real hard and every time someone reads your sarcastic comment, disembodied voice from PTI and Around the Horn screams out “SAR-CAS-IM!”

who says we don’t listen ;)
It was pretty much the first thing we started looking for this summer. having read Stripe’s work over at Griffinscentral, I’m really excited that he agreed to come on board and help us out with this part of the coverage.

Echo what JJ said
The #1 thing that people wanted (besides no shirtless pics of the authors) was more Griffins coverage, and we think that Stripe is going to give everyone a ton of news and updates regarding the Griffs.
Welcome aboard!

i guess i’m in the minority . . .

Looking forward to your analysis.
Usually when we go to Griffins games, I’m 3-sheets before we get our tickets scanned (thank God for an escalator) so I’d be useless for any analysis.
(on a side note, it’s usually a pretty large group of fellow hockey players, and for a 7pm start, we start pre-gaming at Friday’s around noon)

Welcome Jason!
I hope J.J. told you that you’ll be required to write about Brendan Smith every single day.

Hopefully it’s daily updates on his elocution lessons.

Welcome
Glad someone will be able to keep me up on whats going on in GR now that I am not living there anymore.
I hope Griffindog is your dog's actual name
And if it’s something unoriginal like “Fido,” just lie to us and say it’s Griffindog.
Did it just get classier in here or what?!
Welcome aboard! I look forward to some awesome griffin’s news as well as updates on our black aces!
Welcome!
Can’t wait to read some of your writing. It’ll be nice to get more Griffins updates.
