They did last year.
Here’s to hoping that hasn’t changed.

Feed
It looks like they’re streaming the game on the Red Wings website, although it’s blocked for out-of-market viewers (like me sadly).
It's pretty low quality, sadly :(
But still, hockey is better than no hockey :P

Yes, it is.
And sadly I have no hockey since the radio feed isn’t broadcasting the game currently either.
BRUNNSTROM!!!

Wow
Huge hit by Testwuide. Might be getting a major

Lame
I live just East of Toledo and they consider that “out of market.” So I can’t see any games on FSD or listen on am1270. Fuck this shit.
Why block for out of market?
They aired these games for everyone last year. I guess they want us displaced Wings fans forced to have cable and the center ice package. Ain’t happenin’!
This is just a bit disheartening. I’ve had to listen to my wife’s Pens games (which are being aired on TV and FM radio broadcast already) and so far there’s been nothing for me out of the D. :(
by Winger in the desert on Sep 23, 2011 7:04 PM CDT reply actions
It's not like center ice is up yet either ....
so out of market fans are SOL
I was thinking about picking up Center Ice, until I read the FAQ:
Why am I unable to watch a game in NHL GameCenter LIVE™?
A game may not be available to watch live or within 48 hours of completion if it meets any of the below criteria:
-Your local team is playing and televising the game on a local over-the-air station and you are located within that station’s signal.
-Your local team is playing and televising the game on a local regional sports network and your cable or satellite system falls within the distribution for that local regional sports network (regardless of whether your cable or satellite system actually carries that regional sports network.)
-Your local team is playing and there is no local television coverage of the game
-The game is being televised nationally – In the U.S., this includes NBC, Versus, and the NHL Network. In Canada, this includes CBC, TSN, and the NHL Network.
That last bit killed it for me. Basically, if they play on cable, I don’t get it on center ice? I cut the cord nearly 2 years ago as there was nothing on TV worth paying $60/mth for. So I pay $160 for NHL only and I miss how many games because they are on channels I refuse to overpay for? Crap.

Thats for GameCenter Live…
GameCenter Live and Center Ice are two different things:
- GameCenter Live is the online version so you can watch hockey on your computer anywhere
- Center Ice is the one provided by your cable/satellite provider.
So far very boring PP
Nothing really happening, which I guess you can expect from preseason

Can anyone verify
Was Brendan Smith the victim of the Testwuide boarding call?

Depends
is he number 3?

I have no idea
but I was answering who wore number 3 only, I have no access to video (sadly).
"Lucky for me, unlucky for you" - Pavel Datsyuk, on why he wears No. 13
At same time as Testwuide's boarding
Just a little roughing up

No goal
Yahoo still says 1-0 with 3:42 left, so that means they didn’t score. right?
by Red Wing Nut on Sep 23, 2011 7:11 PM CDT up reply actions
Nah, just slow to update
We have about 45 seconds left in the first, they’re still showing 2:30
And that was a goal by JVR, not by Jagr. Jagr set up the original shot

I don’t know… maybe because there wasn’t a penalty coming on the hit and it was clean? I’m not sure I fully understand the actual rule as to when someone gets the instigator penalty. I didn’t see it necessary here that’s for sure.
by SlapshotGoal on Sep 23, 2011 8:04 PM CDT up reply actions
I looked it up, it might be because Commodore threw the gloves first.
Apparently that’s enough to be called an instigator.
That doesn't make much sense.
In every fight someone has to throw the gloves down first; yet there usually isn’t an instigator. I’m confused… Maybe Shanny should put together a video for us explaining it. :)
by SlapshotGoal on Sep 23, 2011 8:11 PM CDT up reply actions
Most players discuss fighting beforehand, or at least verbally agree before fighting.
If the non-instigator fights only because the other player is pressuring him to do it, then that’s instigating.
Apparently. This is just how I’m interpreting the rule book and from discussion with other people.
Thanks
I guess that sort of makes sense.

Are Miller and Exelby playing themselves off the roster?
