The league won’t say anything for a few weeks in all likelihood. Still, you should start making a poster “Winging it in Tree town” if the game is indeed in Ann Arbor.

DET/TOR Winter Classic Confirmed – Pension Plan Puppets

After watching the linked video, I’m wondering if “Confirmed” means the same thing in the USA that it does in Canada. Hockey sportscasters talking about “inside information” is not the same as the NHL admitting to the details. I admit it looks likely, but this is still not a “confirmation”.

And, according to Google Translate, “Dumpster Fire” in french is “benne à ordures le feu”

As has been said, the NHL will not officially announce anything until All Star Weekend. I just feel that Canadians in general are really stoked to finally have a team in the Winter Classic (and I can’t blame them) and are jumping the gun. Either way, at this point the announcement is inevitable, with very little chance left in it.
