Less than a week after one of the best games I've seen all season long, the Wings and Blackhawks renew their acquaintances on a Saturday afternoon in Motown. Detroit will look to tie a franchise record for consecutive home victories while Chicago will fight to stay atop the Central Division rumble.
NBC is showing the game, so you know Edzo will be there with teleprompter in hand ready to cry out any little thing that a Wings player does that remotely resembles a penalty while congratulating the same kind of minor shit as "gamesmanship" by the opponent.
The two real contenders in the Central should give us a hell of a Saturday afternoon. Detroit needs to start on time.

I want to see a Detroit win in convincing fashion. It’s time for the real Red Wings to step up and demonstrate why they are such a tough team to play against. I’m pretty tired of chasing other teams taking the lead and giving up PP goals.

WAAAAY too much opportunity for them to go terribly wrong through no one’s fault or intention.
Anything from three to five years seems very reasonable to me for any player looking to stay long-term somewhere. Gives stability but the team and the player both have flexibility, if the team changes its direction or if the player decides he wants to go elsewhere for whatever reason.

But I think the Hawks were pretty gassed in OT after expending everything they had to tie it up.
It’s obviously still on them, they’re the ones who didn’t bother to show up in the first two and had to play their asses off to get back in it, but it was a motivated Detroit team against an exhausted Chicago team.
