Need some help
I was just hired as the Creative Production Manager for the Frederick Keys (Class-A Affiliate of the Orioles) in Frederick MD... and a Red Wings fan. I need some help from you guys (and girls). Part of what my boss says needs improved is the quality of musical selections here at Harry Grove Stadium. It's been a few years since I have come home to JLA so I am not up with that type of stuff they are playing (besides the obvious stuff like Don't Stop Believin') Let's be honest, JLA always has the best music playing so can I get some help with songs they are playing this season? I'd be oh so thankful and love you all even more than I already do, which is kind of a lot.

It's mostly just Motown stuff and whatever's current
When I went to a game this season there was the usual selection of stuff like the Supremes, Marvin Gaye, etc. and mixed with stuff like Katy Perry and Avicii.
Of course there’s the Journey moments, but other then that there’s a ton of geographically specific tastes, including the aforementioned Motown, Eminem and some Kid Rock.

There will, without a doubt, be a Michigan bias in the music of the Frederick Keys
…wonder if anyone will notice lol
Are we looking for general music played or context-dependent kinda stuff?
Like I know that song ‘Uprising’ plays when the other team scores.
… or that if they’re in the Joe on a Saturday, they always play ‘Piano Man’ as close to 9:00 as they can.

I'm not sure what kind of songs your looking for but.
I think Flux Pavilion – I Cant Stop would be a good song to play when Franzen is on one of his goal streaks.
I always thought it would be kinda cool...
To ask the players what song they wanted played when they score – I imagine you’d find a lot of the players humor coming through in their song choices.
Barring that, player specific songs always amuse me. For example, this can play everytime Bertuzzi scores.

I know that Datsyuk picked his goal song this year... It's Party Rock Anthem by LMFAO
Other than that, I’m not sure which other players pick their own goal song. I wish every player did though, it would be cool. Also, I’d absolutely vote for that song for Bert!

I think a lot of Muse stuff would be good.
There are a few really great beats, with some pretty appropriate wording.
What I remember from The Joe
in terms of the music – was that it was all about the game.
So, late in the 3rd period – maybe 5:00 to go or so – the Wings are up by 2 or more – out comes – Livin on a Prayer. Cracks me up, cuz that’s what the visiting team is doing right then…. Then there are the player specific songs for when they score a goal – I Can See Clearly Now – Dan Cleary. They used to play some Irish Jig music when Shanny scored, etc. Kind of a Wild Thing like scenario – as in Major League.
Baseball is a little harder to do in-game music that fits the game though – between innings probably just needs to be “feel good / sing-a-long” stuff for the crowd to get into. I hate it, but they play Garth Brooks – Low Places at Royals games during the 7th inning stretch – after Take Me Out to the Ballgame, and everyone sings along.
Calls to the bullpen / pitching changes – With A Little Help From My Friends would be good. As would “Who You Gonna Call?….Ghostbusters!”.
Check out “Sports Rock” – it was a CD a number of years ago, one of my kids had it – plenty of good crowd pump-up stuff on there – I’m sure you can find it at Gracenote or Amazon – one of them has to have a playlist or something showing the songs.
Clutch
is a band that has a lot of 15-20 second bits in songs that might work really well in-between face-offs… I heard Electric Worry in the LAK – VAN game yesterday, but the start of Mice & Gods for instance would work well…
