Remember folks, we're doing this to benefit the Humane Society of Michigan and we hope to have a little fun with it. I'm personally pledging a dollar for every point we earn on top of any other pledges I end up making. Here are how points are earned:
Goal in All-Star Game :: 2 points
Assist in All-Star Game :: 1 point
Penalty in All-Star Game :: 2 points
Save in All-Star Game :: 0.1 points
+/- in All-Star Game :: + or - 0.5 points
First Star in All-Star Game :: 3 points
Skills Competition Event Win :: 3 points
For the Team Relay Challenge, the side which has drafted the most players from the winning relay team will be awarded 3 points.
Last year, we earned 57.3 points.

My only complaint...
is not seeing Jimmy in net or Lids on the blue line. But, neither of those was really possible at the time. Hope Lidstrom gets some good rest this break.

TPL had the first pick in the goalie round and wisely selected Jimmy. There was absolutely nothing we could do about that.
When you say goalie round
Do you mean that you guys did a different draft strategy than the actual all-star draft? I’ve been busy enough the last few days that I most likely missed the post if that’s the case.
Yes
We picked all the goalies in round 4. TPL went first, and we alternated through the rest of the round. We did the same thing last year.
Without the cap, Detroit could have this roster.

My only regrets are that you can’t trade Perry for Malkin, Hartnell for Gaborik or Kane, and Price for Jimmah (tough choice between Quick & Lundqvist….Henrik is better but I have a soft spot for Quick). But any way you look at it as the options fell…excellent choices, gentlemen. Go Team WIIM! Dats, Jimmy, Malkin, Iginla and Letang on Team Chara is going to be filthy.
And Tim Thomas’ mustache freaks me right the hell out.
