The business may suffer, the games may die, but hockey lives on.
It's late October and we've got Ken & Mick to get us through a chilly evening and to welcome us to the weekend where we can get our minds off the shit that's been piling up on them all week. If you're lucky enough to be in the area, you can head out there and enjoy $1 beers and hot dogs. You can also ride the rapid for free by showing your game ticket, so those $1 beers won't get you in trouble after the game.
If you're not lucky enough to be in the area, like I said, we've got Ken & Mick to keep us company.
The Griffins are 1-2-1 going into tonight's battle against the Hurricanes' AHL affiliate after having won their first game of the season with a come-from-behind and eventual shootout victory over the Toronto Marlies where Gustav Nyquist put up 2 official goals and added another tally in the skills competition. Charlotte sits first in the South Division of the Western Conference with a 3-1-1 record and a +2 team goal differential (16/14).
NHL fans may recognize a few guys from the Checkers including Zach Boychuk (23 games played with CAR last season), Justin Faulk (66 games), Marc-Andre Gragnani (68 games between BUF/VAN), Jared Staal (the fourth brother), Dan Ellis (hahahahahaahhahahahahaha), and some dude named Michal Jordan (who doesn't wear #23, making him an asshole).
Puck drops at 7. Let's go Griffins!
