CSKA Moscow (KHL)

CSKA came out of the break on Wednesday with Alex Radulov in their lineup (despite his knee injury prior to the break) and earned a 2-0 win over Atlant. On Friday, they dominated Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod 6-1 (Alex Semin's team). Datsyuk added assists 14, 15, and 16 on his KHL campaign, including helpers on the first two goals (the second being the GWG for Raddles). Sunday's game against Lokomotiv didn't go as well, as CSKA dropped a 3-2 decision to the conference-leaders. Datsyuk added one more assist in that contest.

Henrik Zetterberg/Damien Brunner

EV Zug (Swiss League A)

Zug went 3-0 this week with two regulation victories and a shootout winner on Saturday. On Tuesday, they fell down 2-0 early before climbing back into it and winning 5-3. Zetterberg scored the eventual game-winner on an early third period power play thanks to a trip by Dustin Brown of the ZSC Lions (and no other teams worth mentioning right now). The notable events in Friday's 3-1 win over HC Lugano included a Zetterberg hooking penalty and another Damien Brunner goal. Saturday's matchup against the Rapperswil-Jona Lakers saw another Zetterberg penalty (in a game that had 19 penalties called), but also a goal by Z. Both Wings capitalized in the shootout in this one as Zug won the game 3-2.

Jokerit Helsinki (SM-Liiga)

First, let's get the bad news out of the way early. Filppula suffered an MCL sprain in Tuesday's game and will be out 6-8 weeks.

What's worse is that Jokerit got two frowny-faces on their calendar for this week to only one smiley face (seriously look at the calendar on the left side of the site; that's how they mark wins and losses). Jokerit lost 5-2 to Aces on Tuesday, beat SCUBA 3-2 on Thursday (thanks in part to a Teemu Pulkkinen goal), and then dropped a 4-3 decision to SAIPA on Saturday.

Drew Miller

Braehead Clan (EIHL, UK)

Braehead beat the Coventry Blaze 5-2 on Saturday in their only game of the week. Drew Miller had a goal in the second period of this one for his fourth of the season.

Upcoming Games: The Clan is at it on Saturday and Sunday, welcoming Sheffield before heading to Hull.

Jakub Kindl

HC Pardubice (Czech Extraliga)

Pardubice lost their European Trophy matchup on Monday against HC Fribourg-Gotteron 3-2 without Kindl making his way to the scoresheet. He also didn't find himself on the scoresheet for his team's 2-1 loss to Karlovy Vary on Wednesday or their 6-3 loss to Litvinov on Friday. On Sunday, Pardubice was up on Vitkovice 1-0 (on a goal assisted by Kindl), until the last six minutes of the game when they gave up two and lost.

Upcoming Games: Just Friday/Sunday this week for Kindl's squad. First against Comet Brno and second versus Sparta Prague.

Södertälje (Swedish Allsvenskan)

Riggy's back in the states after seven games in Sweden.

Jan Mursak

Olimpija Ljubljana (Erste Bank Liga)

Olimpija won Wednesday and Friday, beating KHL Medvescak 4-1 and EC VSV 3-2. Mursak had two assists in each of those games and scored the game-winner against EC VSV. Sunday's game against the Black Wings went badly for Mursak's Dragons, as they lost 3-2 in a shootout. Mursak assisted on both goals.

Cory Emmerton

SaiPa (SM-Liiga)

Emmerton has returned to the U.S. and is trying to stay in shape while his broken finger heals. I just like keeping him here to keep Quincey buried at the bottom, although I'm not sure I understand why I do that. I don't dislike Quincey. It's probably because he's playing in Denver right now.

Kyle Quincey

Denver Cutthroats (CHL)

After losing three straight to the Arizona Sundogs last week, the Cutthroats extracted some home revenge with a 6-0 win on Wednesday followed by a 2-1 SO victory on Friday. Quincey had two assists in the 6-0 rout and went +4 in that game. He added 3 SOG on Friday, but didn't factor into the scoring in any way. The good feelings didn't last into Saturday, as Denver lost 4-1 to Fort Worth. Quincey took another -3 in that game and now sits as a collective -3 for the season.

Upcoming Games: Busy week for the Cutty Sharks, with games Wednesday and Friday in Rapid City, then games Saturday and Sunday in Denver against the same squad.
